Does fb or the state infringe on privacy more?

I think nothing of fb’s inadequate privacy policy because I can choose to withhold information that is important to me. Not with the state though. It has my financial information, credit status and every other information which I’m pretty sure they sell to stakeholders like property developers etc. So who’s infringing on our privacy?
