I embarked on building my business around genuine leather belts because I die die wanted to help my dad out regardless. As a result, I re-framed my perspectives by hook or by crook, and found a way out. If I had focused on what most around me told me, that there was no way I could penetrate and make a dent in the belts market because competition is cut-throat, I would have most certainly failed.
Unless you’re a lot of genius with statistics on your side, else join in the competition. Businesses don’t spend millions and billions on RnD for you to say that you’re capable of an idea/product so unique that you have no competition at all.
I had a point to prove about starting my own business and I have proven it. I have gained distance albeit bit by bit and have earned my bragging rights.
