I highly doubt it a matter of “兴趣”. The uncles and I agree that “读太多书” is more likely the reason. It is the latent indoctrinating effects of over-schooling.
The current generation, after my dad’s and the uncles’, is oblivious to the opportunities lying blatantly around except to subjugate themselves to the whims and fancies of the corporate ladder/bureaucratic intitutions that is synonymous with the backwardly modern Singapore economic structure.
