Finally, I am beginning to be recognised by my friends as the beltboy who makes belts. I don’t make leather products like anything under the sun. I make mostly belts, really. I am also beginning to be addressed as towkay! Or boss! Feels shiok heh :P
It took 3 years of active advertising and maintaining a coherent online profile of products, history and writings across many social media platforms to achieve the above. Prior to these 3 years, I believe I was largely a closet-whatever to my friends, which I believe would be detrimental to my business had I maintained the previous stance of silence due to fear of being judged. Really, sometimes it ain’t as cool telling others that I make belts :S what!? Make belts!? LOL
