Excited! Just received photos of my boots pattern from Hocks – Alcis! They have completed a mock up of my button boots in velvet! It works!
Beyond leather shoes
Leather dress shoes are a dime a dozen lah. Search up a little and voila(!), options. However, leather shoes no longer pique my interest.
After some research, a fabric and leather hybrid would be different from my cabinet of regular dress shoes. What fabric and what leather would be the immediate design questions.

I am incorporating many elements into my shoe design, one of which is cross stitch patterns which is incredibly time consuming and expensive. In fact, I already had my crypto punk head made into a personal passport by Hocks – Alcis.
By the way, my crypto punk head was designed by myself and is supposed to be me hah!

The risk is high as an entire cross stitch pattern in the shape of a pair of shoes can go wrong, horribly, easily.
Hence the photos of the shoe mock up in velvet above. The basic process went on: feet measurements, cutting the shoe last, pattern templating etc. And I just received the following for stitching the fabric component of my shoes:
