- to keep the family business going
- to make a lot of money
- to leverage on the start up trend to look hip, intelligent, smart
- to pursue a passion
But often, my peers work like there’s no tomorrow.
In the work world, if there is a structure that exists that rewards more per unit juice of effort, (such as blue collar vs white collar), there must be that space in the business world that rewards certain businesses for less effort put in than other businesses.
Until this perception comes into the fore, I can’t imagine any small business owner steering in that direction, unknowingly becoming the blue collar of the business world.
