The great declutter

I am burdened with too many things in my life and have been decluttering for at least two years now. It is not a resolution for 2020, neither was it a resolution for the past two years. I have indeed been at it for some time.

Interestingly, I am not the only one. I have friends and cousins who are faced with the same tussle between stakeholders of discarded items. For example, when a cousin wanted to throw some clothes out, her mum will recover some due sentimental reasons.

It is increasingly apparent to me that it is a global thing that spans a mere two generations. In an ultra simplistic manner, my grandparents mended clothes while my parents and I bought countless clothes, hoarding them if not throwing them away.
