Conclusions from US presidential election 2020

– a core aspect of democracy in US is alive and well and will throw a corrupt leader out, contrary to the idea that Trump’s election in 2016 was proof of the death of it.

– naysayers who spit on the idea of free media here conveniently forget that they consume, wholesale, the daily free media reports on trump’s government and delight in it.

– if politicians can still be corrupt in a country where they are subject to intense scrutiny, the cleanliness of a government not under proper scrutiny leaves a lot to be desired.

– a possible alternative to 50-50 polarity is 33-33-33 diversity, not necessarily landslide victory.

“Here” refers to Singapore.
